An indoor pool in a home can provide great pleasure; it can also be a nightmare if humidity is not well controlled. Although we all enjoy an indoor pool throughout the year, they present unique challenges to homeowners and contractors.
Because pools are a significant source of humidity, they can quickly become hot, humid, and uncomfortable. Excess air moisture can damage the room and its content. Out-of-control humidity can cause mold, mildew, and corrosion. An excellent indoor pool room dehumidification system will make it comfortable for children and adults alike, increase air quality, protect your contents, and protect the integrity of the pool room and the home.
You require a dehumidification system as ventilation systems alone cannot control humidity. Without the assistance of a dehumidifier, a ventilation system results in significant damage. It is expensive and inefficient and will most likely increase your energy bill. If you reside in a humid climate, a ventilation system will bring unwanted moisture and compound existing problems.
Control Humidity: Reduce and control indoor pool humidity.
Maintenance and Repair: Reduce pool room maintenance and repair costs.
Damage: By keeping humidity levels below 60%, a dehumidifier can prevent mold, rot, corrosion, and paint damage.
Comfort: Increase comfort by making the room feel less hot and heavy.
Air Quality: Dehumidifiers come with filters to improve air quality. Some dehumidification systems also bring in more outside air removing indoor pollutants.
HUMIDITY: Reduce and control indoor humidity of the in-home pool room.
DAMAGE: Prevent damage, reduce repair costs, and reduce maintenance costs.
COMFORT: Make it a lot more comfortable for the family and friends.
SIZE: DewAir provides dehumidification systems for homes of all sizes with pools. Our systems can remove from 7.2 lbs./hr. to 41.6 lbs./hr. and provide up to 4,400 CFM of air circulation.
TOTAL PACKAGES: DewAir also provides complete packages, including heating, cooling, or ventilation.
COST LESS: DewAir provides dehumidification systems at a fraction of the price offered by most other manufacturers because of our patented innovative in-house counter-flow air-to-air heat exchangers.
MORE EFFICIENT: Homeowners will pay less on their utility bills.
EASY TO REPAIR: Any HVAC contractor can quickly repair a DewAir dehumidifier because (1) it is built with many off-the-shelf HVAC components and (2) s/he can repair the unit from the front panel.
AIR QUALITY: DewAir dehumidifiers improve indoor air quality because we designed them to bring in fresh outdoor air to remove pollutants.
NO CONDENSER REHEAT: DewAir products do not use the condenser reheat process, which is less efficient and expensive.
NON-PROPRIETARY COMPONENTS: We use non-proprietary components when appropriate instead of re-inventing the wheel.
REPLACEMENT: DewAir can most likely provide a solution to replace your existing pool system. We assist HVAC Contractors in determining the required capacity of the new system.
INTEGRATION: We offer kits to integrate our dehumidifier into the homeowner’s Central AC system, further reducing capital and operational costs.
SMALL FOOTPRINT: Because our dehumidifiers are more efficient, homeowners can usually buy a smaller unit to fit a small mechanical room.
HEAT PUMP: Our solutions can include a 20-seers air-to-air heat pump to provide additional heating to the in-home pool room — this option results in enormous savings.
CONTROL OPTIONS
We provide three ways to monitor and control humidity levels automatically:
Basic: The contractor connects the dehumidifier to a humidistat.
Intelligent Electronic Controller: We install an electronic controller in the dehumidifier. The HVAC contractor then connects this controller to external sensors. The homeowner can control humidity automatically using several parameters.
WiFi-enabled Intelligent Electronic Controller: The display for the controller is also available on cellphones or tablets connected to the home WiFi.
DewAir has a line of home dehumidifiers suitable for small to large indoor pools.
This option provides dehumidification, heating, and air circulation (indoor blower).
An indoor blower capable of providing between 1,400 to 4,400 CFM is used to provide air circulation.
This option provides dehumidification, heating, air circulation, and cooling using a modulating heat pump which also provides cooling.
