The simplest and most cost-effective way to add whole-house dehumidification to your home is with DewAir. With our Integrated Environmental Control Solution (IECS) systems you can piggyback one of our high efficiency dehumidifiers directly onto your existing air conditioner’s condenser. There is no need for the added expense of buying and installing a separate condenser for your dehumidifier. And sharing the condenser does not compromise your air conditioner’s performance.
We have three products that enable our dehumidifiers to share a condenser with an air conditioner.
● IECS-MINI – recommended for living spaces up to 3000 sq ft.
● IECS-SD – recommended for living spaces up to 5000 sq ft.
● IECS-MAX – recommended for living spaces beyond 5000 sq ft.
The IECS-MINI shares an RH-Cube Mini with an air conditioner’s condenser. The IECS-MINI removes up to 144 liters per day (13 lbs. per hour). It is our most compact and least expensive way to provide whole-house dehumidification for up to 3000 sq ft of living space. It is an excellent choice for small offices, retail spaces, and dental offices, anywhere increased dehumidification is needed.
The IECS-SD shares an RH-Cube 18 DX with an air conditioner’s condenser. The IECS-SD removes up to 283 liters per day (22 lbs. per hour). The IECS-SD is recommended for living spaces up to 5000 sq ft. It is an excellent choice as a whole-house dehumidifier for larger homes as well as for small offices, retail spaces, and dental offices, etc.
The IECS-SD is compatible with single stage condensers ranging in size from 2 tons to 3.5 tons, and with 2-stage condensers ranging in size from 3 tons to 5 tons.
The IECS-MAX shares an RH-Cube 18 DX with 3 to 5 ton modulating condensers. The IECS-MAX removes up to 400 liters per day (37 lbs. per hour). It can maintain a delivery dewpoint of 39° F (4° C).
IECS MINI, SD, and MAX consist of an RH-Cube dehumidifier and adapter kit. The adapter kits allow the existing air conditioner’s condenser refrigerant output to be shared between the air conditioner’s own evaporator coil and the evaporator coil inside the RH-Cube. The amount of refrigerant that is directed to either coil is determined by the settings of the thermostat and dehumidistat. Depending on conditions, typically between one and two tons of refrigerant is directed to the RH-Cube while it is dehumidifying. The remaining refrigerant is directed to the air conditioner’s evaporator coil where it provides sensible cooling.
Split-air architecture – IECSs do not add to the air conditioner’s heat load.
Decoupled operation for easy integration into existing HVAC systems – It operates independently from the A/C and can dehumidify 24 hours a day whether or not the A/C is running.
